Durum wheat frise (or friselle), used to be a luxurious treat confined to the tables of the wealthy families during special occasions, despite being frugal and simple. They were particularly appreciated because they could last much longer than bread and being just as good  Our durum wheat frise are baked in a traditional wood oven, handmade entirely by local producers employing only high quality ingredients, following the most traditional recipes from Puglia in order to achieve the perfect fragrance. Soften them in water for a few second and dress them with fresh tomatoes, garlic, oil and basil. Enjoy the magic from Puglia!
